My beloved brothers and sisters in Christ:
I greet you in the grace, mercy and peace of God the Father and Jesus the Christ who is His Son and our Savior.
First, provide me with the opportunity to thank you for your continued love and steadfast commitment to our beloved Zion. As I travel the church I can see and feel that we are pressed on every side, but not crushed down. We all know that there is still much to do to address the shortcomings. If ever there was a time for the church to stand up for the principles of Christianity and reach down to fallen humanity it is now. It is our responsibility as lay leaders to provide resources that can assist with implementing solutions. The Executive Board of the Connectional Lay Council trusts that our investment into this Website has provided web solutions to some of your critical matters.
The CLC Website has been operational for about four years now. We thank Mr. Timothy K. Johnson President & CEO of TENJ Technology and Financial Solutions, LLC for being a strategic partner in establishing this inaugural Website for the Connectional Lay Council. Ms. Rhandi Stith, Editor Laity Speaks/The Connection is the curator and technical gate keeper for this endeavor. She invests considerable time and effort into maintaining the integrity of the information that is published. We hope that individually you have been edified and encouraged as you looked to perfect your ministries for the benefit of the faith community by your use of this Website.
We can all attest to the power of the internet in connecting churches, organizations and people with the tools and ideas for effective lay ministries. Therefore, the Connectional Lay Council will be looking at the next level of features and resource links that will demonstrate the contemporary focus of the Connectional Lay Council. The contemporary focus of the Connectional Lay Council is to engage and excite our young adults, youth and children regarding their responsibility to defend the traditions, polity and doctrines of The African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church.
It is of great value to me, as president, to get feedback from as many of our visitors to this sight as possible. Therefore, please take a few minutes to click onto the “Contact Us” link and provide me with your comments and suggestions. We want to make improvements where needed and take full advantage of this medium to grow and expand lay ministries throughout the church universal.
Stay tuned for the "next level" of online communications, meanwhile enjoy your visit and keep coming back.
In His Service,

Yvonne A. Tracey
